My little crafting business MBM Boutique was born out of trying to get my children to be proactive with their creativity. Ofcourse I got the upcycling bug and found that I was making far too many items to keep or give as gifts.
My husband despairs when he sees me come back from friends houses, charity shops and carbootsales with yet more upcycling projects.
Today we live in a throw away culture, items are so disposable. I love to look at everything we throw away and think "could there be another use for that?" and if I can think of something I will take it and repurpose it into a brand new item. Why not "Make do and Mend", I truly beleive that if we all had this ethos we might save the planet quicker. I even try to reuse as much packaging as possible.
There are still umpteen projects that I have yet to try so make sure you keep checking back to see whats new in my shop. At the moment I have more China Teacup Birdfeeders, Tea for One Hampers, Halloween Bottle Lights, Christmas Bottle Lights, Christmas eve hampers and Spirit Bottle plug in lamps in progress and these will be uploaded to the shop very shortly.
